January 14th, 1978.It's the Sex Pistols' final tour date at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. After playing a really short set ending with a Stooges cover of "No Fun", Johnny Rotten says, "This is no fun, at all". What followed was an infamous moment in music history (depending who you ask). Rotten says to the audience, "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? Goodnight!". He throws down his microphone, and walks offstage.
Rotten left the band soon after that.
